Note: Can be found as nom. rej. vs. Hypolaena R.Br., Prodr. Fl. Nov. Holl.: 251 (1810) (ref. I.C.B.N. (1978) No. 815) - however it is based on a different type to Hypolaena R.Br.. It is maintained as distinct here in order to follow Govaerts et al. (2015) and Briggs & Linder (2009) whose evidence placed it in a different subfamily Leptocarpoideae.
