- Holotype (unique): BMNH (apparently lost).
- Neotype: ASIZP 62399.
- Neotype designated by Matsunuma et al. (2013).
Type locality: Sea of China. Neotype locality: Dong-kang, Pingtung, southern Taiwan, (roughly 22°31′N, 120°22′E [1]), 100 m depth.
