  • Type locality: Wistari Reef, Capricorn Reef, southern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia.
  • Holotype: G.T. Kraft & R.W. Ricker; 15 Nov. 1983; on coral rubble on the floor of the NW channel, 24 m deep; MELU; GB1559a.
