Astrophiura markbeneckei Thuy, Gale & Numberger-Thuy, 2019
Type locality: The Isle of Rügen, northeast Germany; white chalk facies of late Early Maastrichtian age (sumensis, cimbrica and fastigata belemnite zones).
Fossil range: Early Maastrichtian.
Holotype: MnhnL OPH078, a dissociated lateral arm plate.
Paratypes: Two dissociated lateral arm plates, MnhnL OPH079 and OPH080.
