Holotype: ZMUM S-155513, adult ♂, skin and skull.

Type locality: “7 km east Jenaro Herrera, right bank of Río Ucayali (04°55′S, 73°45′W) in the province Requena, Department of Loreto, Peru.”

  1. The specific epithet, savamis, is instead an acronym derived from the union of the initials of the collaborators of the discoverer, that is S - for Sokolov, -av- for V. Aniskin, -am- for A. Milishnikov and -is for S. Isaev.
