- Holotype: BMNH 1908.8.7.2 (formerly 1573), adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by M.P. Anderson on 11 October 1907.
- Type locality: “China, Cave 30 miles W. of Peking. Alt. 600'”.

- China: Beijing, Sichuan, Henan, Jiangsu (Smith & Xie 2008), Anhui (CSIS 2008), Hebei, Shandong (Jiang et al. 2015), Shaanxi (Jones et al. 2006) and Shanxi (T. Jiang pers. comm. August 2018).
