  • Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA, [KwaZulu-Natal]: Natal: Weza forest, 30.40S–29.41E, sifting.
  • Holotype: DNMNH # 2188, ♂, 9.iii.1985, Endrödy-Younga.
  • Etymology: Named after the additional lobe (outside of the main lobe) of the median lobe (Lat. extralobatus = having an extra or external lobe).
