Type species: Yaldwynopsis spinimana Guinot & Richer de Forges 1995: 435, by original designation (and monotypy).
Gender: feminine [Here feminine gender is explicitly stated by Guinot & Richer de Forges 1995: 435, plus accords with feminine suffix "-opsis". However they proposed reformation the suffix of the type species as "spinimanus" as a proposed 'correction' claiming it as a "substantive in apposition")
