- Type locality: Signal Point, Lord Howe Island, Australia.
- Holotype: G.T. Kraft & C. O'Brien; 13 May 1977; from the back walls of shore-facing undercuts of calcarenite stacks at Far Rocks, 1-1.5 m depth; MELU; A38836, LHI-9770 (fig 28A).
