Vernacular names of Panthera pardus tulliana

Hello BhagyaMani,

As you can see I am not very experienced on Wikispecies. Could you possibly check all my changes - there are only 2 so far?

In https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Vernacular_names_section it says "To avoid the list becoming too long, only include one name per language, which should generally be the standard name (French, nom normalisé) used in official publications in the relevant language (such as the IOC World Bird Names list, or the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland plant list)."

So to avoid arguments do you think I should just delete the vernacular names section of Panthera pardus tulliana here on Wikispecies? After all if people want to know the vernacular names they can always click across to Wikipedia or Wikidata. Chidgk1 (talk) 10:10, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Redirect to Panthera tigris

Hi BhagyaMani, I wonder why you redirect multiple subspecies of Panthera tigris (i.e. Panthera tigris amoyensis) to the species page. I am new to here, so I wonder if there is some relevant policy to do so? This seems cause some problem with links in Wikidata. Thanks a lot. Stang 22:42, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello Stang. Please note that all of the redirects were made in April 2018. The user has made only one single edit to Wikispecies since then, more than two years ago, and that edit wasn't related to any redirects. Due to the user's recent inactivity the issue about the redirects is probably better suited for a discussion at the Village Pump. (I would also like to point out that I have no data upon the taxonomy of Panthera tigris, so personally I can't really add any information about the taxon and its subspecies.)
