Type locality: Brazil, Estado do Pará, Marajó Island, Salvaterra, Vila União, igarapé Olho d’água, 0º50’51”S, 48º34’1”W [1].

Etymology: The specific name marajoara refers to the type locality, Marajó Island, Brazil.
