Typhlobelus auriculatus de Pinna & Zuanon, 2013

  • Holotype: INPA 12929.
  • Paratypes: INPA 36118 (3 (1 C&S)); MZUSP 109847 (4 (1 CS, 1 SEM)).

Type locality: Brazil, Rio Xingu at Arroz Cru, near Senador José Porfírio, 03°25'16"S, 51°55'08"W [1].

Etymology: The species name auriculatus, a Latin adjective meaning ‘‘with ears,’’ refers to the conspicuously modified pseudotympanus in this species.
