Substrate and ecology (Sonoran Desert Region): On wood of conifers.

Typification Details: Holotype ASU, Esslinger 13680

Type: Mexico. Chihuahua: along rte 16 ca. 20 km W of Basaseachic, S facing ridge with large rhyolite outcrop on ridge crest, oak-pine-juniper-manzanita (28o19'N, 108o15'W); 2200 m elev.; on dead log of conifer, Esslinger 13680 (ASU, holotype; Herb. Esslinger, isotype).

Host-Substratum/Locality: On dead log of ?Juniperus: Chihuahua
