Type locality: Cuba, Havana, Santiago de Las Vegas [22°58’N, 82°22’ W].

Holotype: MCZ. female ♀. legit Nathan Banks

• Stothis cubana Banks, 1909: 155 (preoccuppied by Trichopelma cubanum Simon, 1903)
• Trichopelma banksia Özdikmen & Demir, 2012 (replacement name for Stothis cubana Banks, 1909)
