  • Trichomycterus longibarbatus Costa, 1992

Holotype: MZUSP 43339. Paratypes: MNRJ 629 (1); MZUSP 23812 (17).

Type locality: Brazil, Espirito Santo, Near Santa Tereza.

Etymology: From the Latin longus (= long), and barbatus (= barbel), referring to the long nasal barbel of the species.
