Name

  • Trichomycterus johnsoni (Fowler, 1932)

Holotype: ANSP 53873.

Type locality: Brazil, Mato Grosso, Descalvados.

Etymology: The species name johnsoni is dedicated to Mr. E. R. Fenimore Johnson, through whose cooperation and direction the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia was represented on the Matto Grosso Expedition of the author of the species.
