Tomiyamichthys levisquama Hoese et al., 2016

  • Holotype: NTM S.17974-002.
  • Paratypes: NTM S.10423–001, 1(36), S.10429–034, 3(10–26), S.10718–047, 2(18–37), S.11506–016, 2(36–39), S.14255–001, 1(19); QM I.16708 (1, 0), I.17913 (1), I.29226 (1, 0), I.30165 (0, 1), I.31282 (1).

Type locality: Vestey’s Beach Reef, Darwin Harbour, Northern Territory, Australia.

Etymology: From the Greek levis (= smooth), and squama (= scale), alluding to the cycloid scales.
