- Holotype: SMF 75443, adult ♂, body in alcohol with skull extracted, collected by Heinz Felten on 16 March 1988.
- Type locality: “Doi (Mount) Pha Hom Pok, 20.08.N-99.10.E, alt. 1500 m, Amphoe (District) Mae Ai, Chiang Mai Prov., N-Thailand”.
