Page recently up-graded[edit]

I recently up-graded this account. The bibliography of my publications in ichthyology is now reasonably complete. It does not include publications of mine in other areas.

The account of taxa named after me is now up to date and probably complete.

The section on Authored taxa is hopelessly incomplete. Instead of a total of 7 taxa now indicated, I have described at least 7 fish taxa at categories higher than genus, 23 new genera, and 167 species. In previous Wikispecies versions I was credited with 6 higher taxa, 18 genera, and 161 species. When I edited the article to make the additions, all of the lists were erased.

Looking through Wikispecies accounts of other systematic biologists I find they also suffer from serious omissions. Given the present non-sensical editorial Wikispecies policies about supposed conflict of interest= this is not surprising.
