Important notes:

• The type genus of this family, Schizophorus Ponomarenko, 1968 is a junior homonym of Schizophorus Balashova, 1953 in Trilobita
• In {{Bouchard & Bousquet, 2020}}, both Schizophorus Ponomarenko, 1968 and Schizophoridae Ponomarenko, 1968 are given the substitute names Phoroshizus and Phoroschizidae, respectively. Bouchard & Bousquet is the authority to use for both new names.
