Lycaena salustius, ♂, New Zealand, Wellington, South Island.
  • This picture shows one of a series of three male specimens from Wellington which are all larger and more lightly marked than salustius from the North Island, as pictured on the species page. They still retain the double vein lines which are definitive of salustius, according to Gibbs, so this is not rauparaha or feredayi. It may represent a valid sub-species of salustius, so I put the picture here for anyone particularly interested in this species. Accassidy 17:19, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
