- It could be the same person, the publication
{{Sartiami et al., 2015}}is listed in Idris Abd. Ghani's ResearchGate profile page. The other two listed in A.B. Idris I haven't found there on the other hand, but we can probably access PDFs for the original articles for them to check the institution address is the same. Monster Iestyn (talk)- Yep, the Serangga article from 2003 on A.B. Idris gives the same "Centre for Insect Systematics" institution address listed for Idris Abd. - @Estopedist1: Okay they're definitely the same person, the Elytra article is co-authored by "Idris Abd. Ghani" with "School of Environmental and Natural Resources Sciences" etc as the institution, which matches what is given for A.B. Idris. So we should merge them. (Interestingly though, the Elytra article uses small caps for "Idris", as if it was the family name or surname or otherwise name to be indexed by.) - According to Evenhuis's 2020 edition of Authors of fly names, there is a "Ghani, Idris bin Abdul". Double-checking Idris Abd Ghani's ResearchGate (and ZooBank) does confirm he authored a fly name in one of the listed publications, so "Idris bin Abdul Ghani" could actually be his full name?— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Monster Iestyn (talk • contribs) 22 September 2020.
