Talk:Francoaceae

Superconservation of Melianthaceae Horan. Prim. Lin. Syst. Nat. (1834) was proposed over Francoaceae, this was neither recommended nor rejected by The Nomenclature Committee for Vascular Plants, see Applequist (2012) and Reveal (2009). This circumscription follows APG IV and merges all genera from Greyiaceae, Melianthaceae and Vivianiaceae under Francoaceae s.l.. The broader circumscription is recommended so that no matter which relationship proves to be the most robust the family name recognised does not change. Andyboorman (talk) 18:22, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
