Eumaeus minijas or minyas?[edit]

The bibliography of this species contains numerous instances of each of these two spellings for the species epithet. The problem stems from the apparent use of both forms of the name by Jacob Hübner, in 1809 and 1819. At the bottom of the plate in the 1809 "Sammlung", which is quoted as the original description, Hübner certainly appears to use Rusticus minijas [1], in the plate subtitle, as there are dots above what would be both the "i" and the "j". However, in the "Verzeichniss" of 1819, wherein Hübner erects the genus Eumaeus he definitely uses the form Eumaeus minyas [2]. As the latter is typeset, while the former might actually be hand-written, it might be appropriate to consider that this was indeed Hübner's original intention. In this page construction, I have followed Robbins, in Lamas, 2004, and other recent New World entomologists who have adopted minyas as the standard spelling.
