  • Paratypes: MZB 22124 (2, 1, Barcodes: BIF 1486, 1488, 1492), 22125 (0, 2, Barcodes: BIF 1748, 1749); MNHN 2014-0133 (1, 2, Barcodes: BIF 1487, 1489, 1490), 2014-0139 (2, 0, Barcodes: BIF 1737, 1738), 2014-0140 (1, 0).

Type locality: Java, Banten, Kab Pandeglang, Indonesia.

Etymology: The species is named rubicundus for ruddy, rubicund, referring to the bright red throat and belly.
