Roldana aschenborniana (S.Schauer) H.Rob. & Brettell, 1974

  • Type locality: "in Valle Toluca", Mexico
    • As given in Nees & Schauer (1847: 698) and Funston (2008: 298)
  • Holotype: Aschenborn [718] (B, destroyed; fragment, GH)
    • Nees & Schauer (1847: 698) cite no numbers, but according to Funston (2008: 298), several later authorities cite Aschenborn 718 (which she qualifies as "presumably destroyed"). Hemsley (1881: 236) reports seeing what may have been a type specimen at K, but it could not be located (Funston, 2008: 298). In any case, if Aschenborn 718 is a type, the GH fragment is a holotype, not a lectotype.

  • Heterotypic

    • Type locality: " mountains southeast of Palestina on old road to San Juan Ostencalco", Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
    • Holotype: Standley 84286 (F; isotype MO)
  • Roldana mazatecana B.L.Turner (2005: 235)
    • Type locality: "Aprox. 400 m del Puerto de la Soledad, por la carretera de Huautla a Teotitlan de Flores Magon (Mex 182)," Sierra Mazateca, Oaxaca, Mexico
    • Holotype: Munn-Estrada & Mendoza 1947 (TEX; isotype MEXU)
