- Holotype: MHNCSJ 1880, adult ♀, collected by C.J. Castaño on 22 September 1987.
- Type locality: “Murrí (6°43′N, 76°20′W), Carretera NutibaraLa Blanquita, Municipio de Frontino (ca. 1600-1800 m), Departamento Antioquia, Colombia”.
