- Holotype: Acarology Laboratory of Erzincan University, Erzincan, Turkey ♀, 30 September 2008.
- Type locality: Decayed bark of Quercus sp., 40°34′42″N, 36°46′36″E, 735 m, Niksar, Tokat, Turkey
- Etymology: The name of this species is the Latin compound word “quadrigeminus”, meaning 4 pairs, because of the 4 pairs of genital setae.
