Syntypes (2): BMNH 1946.1.2.36, ♀, and and BMNH 1946.1.2.46, ♂, collected by T. Hardwicke between 1756–1823.
Type locality: “India” (in error), corrected to “Malay Peninsula” by Boulenger (1896: 4).
