Pythonaster pacificus Downey, 1979: 70

Holotype: USNM E17965, collected by Scripps Institution of Oceanography R/V Melville on 18 December 1969.

Type locality: “on the abyssal plain off Baja California (31º19.7’N, 119°39.2’W) at 2010 fms”.
