      • Type locality: Gardner Bay, I. Española, Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. Frequent as dredged in 37-55 m at sta. 203 from a rocky bottom near an islet in Gardner Bay.
      • Holotype: cystocarpic: W.R. Taylor #34-417; 1934-01-31; Hancock Foundation. UC 1884384 (AHFH108). Isotype: MICH 1306499.
