- Lectotype: BMNH 1946.1.14.89, ♂, collected by T.E. Cantor between July 1840–March 1841 (via British East India Company). [designated by Boulenger (1893: 376), lost fide Nguyen et al. (2009: 335)]
- Type locality: “Chusan” via lectotype selection.
