Pterosiphonia stegengae Savoie & G.W.Saunders, 2016

• Type locality: Preekstoel (–34.36720, 21.45785), Stilbaai, Western Cape, South Africa. Holotype: K. Dixon and J. Ferreira Costa; 25 November 2014; growing in the low intertidal on Aeolianite rock. UNB GWS036371. (Images of holotype: Figs. 5a–5d.)

• Named for Herre Stegenga, specialist of seaweed flora of South Africa.
