- Holotype: ICN 14424, adult ♀, collected by John D. Lynch and Juan M. Renjifo on 23 June 1984.
- Type locality: “vicinity of the Hotel Termales, Municipio Villamaria, Depto. Caldas, Colombia, 3350-3370 m”.
