- Holotype: ICN 8583, adult ♀, collected by J.D. Lynch, J.V. Rueda and P.M. Ruiz on 10 June 1981.
- Type locality: “Quebrada Los Patos, 3.7 km N Belmira, vereda Los Patos, Mcpio. Belmira, Dept. Antioquia, Colombia, 2620 m”.
