Type locality: San Antonio, Cajas National Park border, Azuay Province, Ecuador (2.8835S, 79.4103W, 2099 m).

Holotype: QCAZ. male ♂. 21.VIII.2009. legit Elicio E. Tapia and Juan Carlos Morocho. QCAZ 45170.
