Type locality: "'Nueva York' hill, Río Blanco Basin (04° 54´ 13.3 S, 79° 22´ 27.7 W) at 2900 m . . . , Distrito de Carmen de la Frontera, Provincia de Huancabamba, Departamento de Piura, Peru".

Holotype: MHNSM 24486.
