• Type species: Not designated as was Potosia schaffneri (Rchb.f.) R.González & Szlach. ex Mytnik, Genus 14(Suppl.): 59 (2003), which is now accepted as a synonym of Sarcoglottis schaffneri (Rchb.f.) Ames in J.D.Smith, Enum. Pl. Guatem. 7: 50 (1905).
