Holotype: male, 4.2 mm, USNM 1297736
Host: Eudistoma sp.
Type locality: 11 June 2004, St. Joseph Bay, Florida, 200 m northwest of Blacks Island, 29°43.73’N 85°19.23’W, depth 1.0 m, 35 ppt, 32ºC, coll. J.M. Foster and B.P. Thoma.
Paratypes: 5 vials. 4 males, 14 females, 6 females, 7 males, 26 unsexed; USNM 1297737-1297741, host Didemnum sp., St. Joseph Bay, Florida, 200 meters north of Blacks Island, 29°47.73 N 85°19.82 W, depth 1.0-2.0 m, 35 ppt, 32°C, coll. J Foster and B. Thoma.
Etymology: refers to the type locality, St. Joseph Bay (Gulf County, Florida).
