Poecilia formosa (Girard, 1859)

  • Lectotype: USNM 3508 (apparently lost). Paralectotypes: MNHN 0000-0439 [ex USNM 3508] (1, not this species). Type catalog: Parenti et al., 1999:12.
  • Type locality: Site of Palo Alto battlefield, 19.3 kilometers northeast of Brownsville, Cameron County Texas, U.S.A.
