  1. Obviously, the wrong specimen is cited in the protologue. The specimen Holt & Blake 498 was marked as the type by Dwyer in his own handwriting in 1941. On the other hand Holt & Blake 599, the specimen cited in the protologue, was identified as Vismia japurensis in 1952.
