Paracheilinus mccoskeri Randall & Harmelin-Vivien, 1977

Holotype: CAS 35176. [Paratypes: AMS I.18604-001 (1); ANSP 133779 (6); BMNH 1976.2.13.1-2 (2); BPBM 19728 (7); CAS 32569 (1), 34472 (8); MNHN 1976-0005 (2); SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 841 (1); SMF 13393 (1); USNM 215274 (2)].

Type locality: Reef 150 meters offshore front of Said Ibrahim's Palace, north of Moroni, Grande Comore Island, Comoro Islands, depth 20-35 meters.
