- Holotype: MNRJ 34439, adult ♀, skin and skull, collected by S.M. Lindbergh in 1991.
- Type locality: “Fazenda Vão dos Bois (13°34′29′′S, 47°10′57′′W, 424 m), Terezina de Goiás, Goiás State, Brazil, 24 km N of Terezina de Goiás, 15 km SW of Rio Paranã, a tributary of the upper Rio Tocantins, road GO-118, km 275”.
