- Holotype: SNM Z 27485.
Type locality: Cerová−Lieskové, Vienna Basin, Slovakia. Type horizon: Lakšárska Nová Ves Formation, late Karpatian (equivalent to latest Burdigalian), Miocene.
Etymology: From the tuberculate surface ornament of the teeth.
