Name

Mayaheros beani (Jordan, 1889)

• Syntypes: BMNH 1895.5.27.190 [from Jordan] (1); FMNH 6231 [ex USNM 37145] (1); MCZ 36014 [ex USNM 37145] (1); USNM 37145 (5, now 3), 37165 (2).

Type locality: Río Presidio, near Mazatlán, Sinaloa, western Mexico.
