Mylochromis melanonotus (Regan, 1922)

Lectotype: BMNH 1921.9.6.163. [Paralectotypes: BMNH 1921.9.6.164 (1)]. Lectotype designated by Eccles & Trewavas, 1989:229.

Type locality: Lake Malawi [Lake Nyasa], southeastern Africa.
