- Type: E. Battiscombe 708 ([29 July 1913]; holotype: K; fragment of the holotype: BM; isotype: EA000002958).
- Note: there are two specimens deposited in K: K000319583 ['Isosyntype'] and K000319584 ['Unknown type material'].
- Type locality: British East Africa[KENYA]. Streams of South-East Kenya, 1835-1990 m.
