  • Holotype: ZMMU S-164895, adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by L.A. Lavrenchenko and A.A. Warshavsky on 18 January 1996.
  • Type locality: “The upper belt of the Harenna forest, Bale Mountains National Park (06°45' N 39°44' E, 2760 m a.s.l.), Ethiopia”.
