Name[edit]

Microctenopoma intermedium (Pellegrin, 1920)

  • Syntypes: MNHN 1920.102-103 (4)

Type locality: Léalui, Upper Zambezi, Zambia.

Etymology: Based on the comparisons made by Pellegrin (1920) it appears that M. intermedium was named for the intermediate position of its taxonomic characters relative to M. nanum and M. ansorgii.
