Malingichthys wanfenglinensis Tintori et al., 2015

Type locality: Nimaigu village, Wusha District, Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, China.

Etymology: From Wanfenglin, translated as "Forest of Ten Thousand peaks", a karst region near Xingyi City characterised by pointed rocky hills giving rise to a toothed skyline, remembering the teeth of this species.
